Global Medical Advisor - Oncopetides

On behalf of Oncopeptides we are recruiting a Global Medical Advisor. Oncopeptides is a biotech company focusing on research, development and commercialization of targeted therapies for difficult-to-treat cancers. The company was founded in Sweden in 2000 and is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange with headquarters in Stockholm.
The company uses its proprietary Peptide Drug Candidate platform, PDC, to develop compounds that rapidly and selectively deliver cytotoxic agents into cancer cells. Oncopeptides’ first drug Pepaxti has been granted full approval for treatment of adult patients with multiple myeloma in Europe. With Pepaxti launched in several European markets, Oncopeptides is currently in a very exciting phase.
In this role you will be responsible for the execution of Medical Affairs strategy in order to support the development, launch and market commercialization of Oncopeptides AB’s molecules. The Global Medical Advisor role requires excellent cross-functional collaboration and customer orientation skills.
The position reports to the Head of Global Medical Affairs.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop solid partnerships with different stakeholders according to medical affairs strategy.
- Provide non-promotional scientific external presentations as required.
- Act as an initial discussion partner for external research groups in academic research proposals.
- Working closely with the global cross-functional teams to support launch strategies and programs.
- Design and execute high-quality external and internal educational activities.
- Implement activities in international congresses, meetings and workshops.
- Review global commercial and medical material.
- Contribute with competitive intelligence to the medical and commercial teams.
- Provide scientific training for internal colleagues in cross-functional settings as required.
- Support of publication plans covering regional data.
- Facilitate and support clinical or translational investigations according to all relevant regulations, ICH-GCP and internal SOPs.
- Support to health economic analyses/studies if applicable.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations as appropriate to enhance relationships at clinical trial sites.
Requirements:
- Higher scientific qualification e.g. MD, MSc PhD or PharmD with experience in Hematology and/or Oncology.
- + 5 years’ experience from medical affairs roles.
- Extensive experience from implementing medical strategies.
- Previous knowledge of Hematology / Oncology field is highly preferred.
- Ensure a high level of knowledge in hematology associated scientific literature.
- Solid skills in collaboration and teamwork.
- Independent, creative and goal oriented.
- Skills in establishing long lasting relationships with different working groups, societies and other stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent skills in English.
