Haeger & Carlsson are recruiting a Head of CMC to LIDDS AB (publ).
LIDDS is a Swedish drug delivery company based on the proprietary technology NanoZolid. With NanoZolid, LIDDS can formulate drugs for local administration that have a controlled and maintained release for up to six months.
The technology is versatile and can be used across different drug classes and solve problems within many indication areas. LIDDS offers the NanoZolid technology to partners and has developed its own pipeline focused on oncology, where the technology enables drug delivery locally and in high dose, administered over time with very limited side effects.
LIDDS has a broad pipeline with several projects in clinical development, both in early- and late-stage clinical phase, and projects about to enter clinical development.

As Head of CMC you will manage and lead all CMC activities, contribute to business and project development strategies, and manage the CMC budget. You will report to the CSO. Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading and managing all CMC activities internally and externally.
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, CMOs and suppliers, providing project management oversight for CMC, and in accordance with development plans.
• Shared responsibility with peer functional area heads for the proper planning, management, and execution of the company projects.
• Guide technical challenges as well as quality and regulatory awareness of current requirements, process and analytical development as related to CMC and GMP.
• Provide CMC support in evaluations of new project opportunities.
• Provide CMC support for Business Development activities.

Requirements:

• Experienced Pharmacist/ Chemical Engineer holding a PhD or Master of Science degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of industrial experience from the pharmaceutical industry with an established reputation of expert knowledge in CMC.
• Highly experienced in leading and managing internal and external activities, resources and stakeholders.
• Proven experience with managing outsourcing activities i.e CDMOs, CMOs and CROs.
• In depth understanding of the regulatory requirements regarding CMC development and industry standard.
• Experience from regulatory interactions with EMA and FDA.
• You are an effective communicator.
