Camurus strengthens its organization by recruiting a Head of Biometrics. Camurus is committed to developing and commercializing innovative and long-acting medicines for the treatment of severe and chronic conditions, including opioid dependence, pain, cancer and endocrine disorders. The position is full-time and based in Lund, Sweden.
You will have a unique opportunity to influence and shape your role, as you will be involved in building the biometric function at Camurus. As the Head of Biometrics, you are a vital part of the Clinical Development team and the R&D group and will contribute significantly to the clinical development and regulatory approvals of their products. Your proven statistical expertise will be a key influence on Camurus clinical development plans, informing their decision making and driving best practice. Camurus outsources the statistical analyses for the clinical trials as well as the integrated analyses for regulatory submissions based on an approved Statistical Analysis Plan under your oversight. You are also actively involved in working with scientific publications.

To be successful in this position you have a PhD or MSc in mathematical statistics. You also have thorough knowledge and experience of the pharmaceutical industry including understanding of clinical drug development process and regulatory interactions. You have documented leadership skills, with experience from managing external resources effectively.
We believe that you have excellent skills in programming and analyzing data using SAS and R as well as other programs and expertise in using various statistical models. You possess a high level of competence in global and cross-skilled collaborative working. You also have strong oral and written communication skills; in English and are an experienced user of the MS Office system.
As a person you are analytical and a good communicator. You are structured and organized in your way of working and you can handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You have a desire to apply your scientific competence on practical problems, for the benefit of patients.
